ICG CGEPT Selection Process 2026
The ICG CGEPT selection process has four stages. Candidates first appear for the computer-based exam. Shortlisted candidates then complete the physical fitness test, assessment, document verification and medical tests before final selection.
Stage I Computer Based Examination
Stage-I is an online objective exam with 100 questions for 100 marks. The exam lasts 60 minutes, is available in Hindi and English, and has no negative marking.
Stage II Assessment, Physical and Medical Tests
Candidates who qualify Stage I need to appear at the assigned recruitment centre. This stage includes biometric verification, PFT, adaptability assessment, document verification and recruitment medical examination.

Stage III Pre-Enrolment and Induction
Shortlisted candidates report to INS Chilka for Aadhaar-based identity verification, final document checking, police verification and pre-enrolment medical examination.
Stage IV Document Authentication
In the final stage, educational and other certificates are verified with the concerned boards, universities and government authorities. Candidates with fake or invalid documents can be removed from service.

ICG CGEPT Salary 2026
Selected candidates will get salary with different allowances and benefits. Navik and Hygienist-I posts have a basic pay of ₹21,700 under Pay Level-3. Yantrik candidates get ₹29,200 under Pay Level-5 along with Yantrik Pay of ₹6,200. Other benefits include DA, accommodation or HRA, medical facilities, ration, clothing, leave, LTC and other service benefits.
