IGNOU Experience Calculation 2026
IGNOU will count relevant experience on a post-qualification basis. Candidates claiming experience must produce certificates from the Head or authorised person of the concerned organisation showing the duration of employment, pay details and nature of duties performed.
- Experience will be counted only after acquiring the required qualification.
- Part-time experience will not be counted.
- Daily-wage experience will not be counted.
- Visiting or Guest Faculty experience will not be counted for shortlisting.

IGNOU Technical Recruitment Age Relaxation 2026
Age relaxation for eligible categories will be applicable according to Government of India rules. Government employees and Ex-Servicemen will receive applicable relaxation under Government rules, while IGNOU employees will be considered for upper-age relaxation according to the University’s Recruitment and Promotion Rules.

IGNOU Technical Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
IGNOU has not prescribed one common fixed selection process for all 14 advertised positions. The University reserves the right to shortlist candidates on the basis of merit, qualification, relevant experience, Written Test, CBT, Skill Test and/or Interview as applicable to the post.
If a large number of applications are received, IGNOU may prescribe additional shortlisting criteria such as Screening Test, higher qualification or experience requirements for deciding the candidates to be called for CBT, Written Test, Skill Test or Interview.
