The SSC CHSL Application Form 2026 is available for candidates applying for the Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination 2026. The SSC CHSL 2026 notification specifies that the correction window will remain open from 14th October to 16th October 2026 up to 11:00 PM. The dates of Tier-I and Tier-II examinations will be notified separately by the Commission.

How to Apply Online for SSC CHSL 2026?
Candidates can apply for SSC CHSL 2026 only through online mode using the new SSC Headquarters website ssc.gov.in or through the mySSC mobile application. Candidates who have not generated an OTR on the new SSC website must complete the OTR process before filling out the application form.
Step 1: Go to SSC official website at ssc.gov.in and click on the “Login or Register”.
Step 2: Candidates who have not generated an OTR on new SSC website need to complete the One Time Registration before applying for the SSC CHSL 2026 examination. The OTR created on the old SSC website at ssc.nic.in, will not be functional on new website. Once generated, the OTR remains valid for all other exams conducted through the new SSC website.
Step 3: Candidates have the option to authenticate themselves using Aadhaar during OTR. The notification advises candidates to opt for Aadhaar-Based Authentication. Candidates who use Aadhaar authentication receive certain relaxations regarding photograph/signature requirements and examination-day photo ID requirements.
Candidates who do not use Aadhaar-based authentication have to provide documents stated in the notification for completing OTR.
Step 4: After completing OTR, log in to the SSC website and proceed to fill SSC CHSL 2026 online application form.
Step 5: A pre-existing photograph is not needed for submitting the CHSL application. Live photograph will be captures during the application process.
Step 6: Upload the scanned signature in JPEG/JPG format as per the official notification.

Step 7: PwBD/PwD candidates who wish to claim the benefit of reservation, scribe, compensatory time or any combination of these benefits have to upload the applicable Disability Certificate while filling the online form.
Step 8: Select Examination Centre and Fill Other Application Details. Candidates should carefully enter their details and verify them before submission.
Step 9: Use the Preview/Print option to check every field of the application form Before submitting the application.
Step 10: Candidates who are required to pay the fee should complete the payment online.
Step 11: Submit the SSC CHSL 2026 application form after checking all entries and fee payment.
Step 12: Candidates should keep a copy of completed application form for later. Commission advises candidates to keep their application form and other examination documents safe for minimum three years.
SSC CHSL Application Fee 2026
The SSC CHSL Application Fee 2026 is ₹100. Women candidates and candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwBD and eligible Ex-Servicemen (ESM) categories are exempted from paying the application fee.

The application fee can be paid through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, Visa, MasterCard, Maestro or RuPay Debit Card. The last date for online fee payment is 8th October 2026 at 11:00 PM. The fee once paid will not be refunded or adjusted against another examination.

The SSC CHSL Application Correction Window 2026 will be active from 14th October to 16th October 2026 up to 11:00 PM. Candidates whose completed applications and applicable fees have been received within the prescribed period will be allowed to make corrections. Candidates will be allowed to correct and re-submit their application two times during the correction window.

SSC CHSL Educational Qualification 2026
The educational qualification depends on the post applied for.
- For LDC/JSA and DEO/DEO Grade ‘A’, except the specific DEO posts mentioned in the notification, candidates must have passed 12th Standard or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.
- For DEO/DEO Grade ‘A’ in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Staff Selection Commission and Ministry of Culture, candidates must have passed 12th Standard in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent.
- Candidates who are appearing in their Class 12th/equivalent examination can also apply. The result of the qualifying exam must have been declared by the Board/University on or before the cut-off date.

Documents Required for SSC CHSL Application Form 2026

- The first three academic sections carry marks as specified in the Tier-II scheme and the Computer Knowledge Test and Skill/Typing Test have separate qualifying requirements.
- For LDC/JSA, the applicable Typing Test is conducted as part of Tier-II. DEO candidates appear for the applicable Skill Test.
SSC CHSL Aadhaar Authentication 2026
Candidates are advised to opt for Aadhaar Based Authentication while completing their SSC CHSL OTR process. As per the notification, candidates who opt for Aadhaar authentication will not have their applications rejected on the ground that their uploaded photograph or signature does not meet the prescribed standards. Such candidates will also not be required to produce a recent colour photograph or original valid photo identity proof for admission to the Computer Based Examination.
