WBPSC Clerkship Reservation 2026
Reservation benefits will be given according to the applicable West Bengal Government rules. WBPSC Clerkship Bengali Language Requirement 2026
Candidates must possess the ability to read, write and speak in Bengali. This requirement is not applicable to candidates whose mother tongue is Nepali.
For candidates whose mother tongue is neither Bengali nor Nepali, knowledge of Bengali will be tested at the stage of judging elementary Computer Operation and typing ability. Candidates showing average or poor performance in the Bengali language test may have their candidature cancelled.
WBPSC Clerkship Nationality 2026
A candidate must satisfy the nationality conditions prescribed by the Commission.

Eligible Persons with Benchmark Disabilities having limitations in writing, including limitation in writing speed, may be permitted to use a Scribe subject to the conditions prescribed by the Commission.

WBPSC Clerkship Tie Breaking Rule 2026
If two or more candidates obtain equal marks, WBPSC will apply the following tie-breaking principles in sequence.
- Preference will be given to the candidate securing higher aggregate marks in English and Bengali/Hindi/Urdu/Nepali/Santali.
- If the tie continues, preference will be given to the candidate securing higher marks in English.

WBPSC Clerkship Final Merit List 2026
The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of the total marks obtained in Part-I and Part-II examinations. However, candidates must also qualify the test of elementary Computer Operation and ability to type on Computer.
