IOCL Executive CBT 2026: Last-Minute Documents Checklist & Important Exam Day Instructions
Computer Based Test (CBT): 24 September 2026. Carry the correct documents and follow the ID, biometric, dress-code and reporting instructions exactly.
Most important: Your individual call letter controls the exact reporting and gate-closure time. IOCL states that candidates reporting late will not be permitted to take the examination, and candidates may be at the venue for about 4 hours including verification and other formalities.

📄 Documents You MUST Carry
- Call Letter with your recent photograph affixed on it.
- Original, currently valid photo ID proof with the same name as on the call letter.
- Photocopy of the same photo ID proof — stapled together with the call letter as instructed.
- Bring the same ID document whose details are being used for verification.
- Carry a ball-point pen.
Do not forget the photocopy. The instructions specifically require the original valid photo ID as well as a photocopy of the same ID proof with the call letter.

Not accepted: Ration Card and Learner's Driving Licence are specifically stated not to be valid ID proof for this purpose.
✍️ Call Letter: Fill These Only at the Exam Centre
- Handwriting sample: Copy the sample from the screen at the exam venue on the day of the exam, exactly as instructed.
- ID declaration: Fill in the type of ID you have brought and its number in the space provided.
- Left thumb impression: Put it clearly in the designated box in the presence of the invigilator.
- Candidate signature: Sign in the designated space in the presence of the invigilator.
- Invigilator's signature: This is completed by the invigilator after the required verification/impression process.
Important: Do not complete the handwriting sample, thumb impression or exam-time signature beforehand unless the instructions at the centre specifically tell you to do so.
👤 Photo & Signature Match
- The photograph on your call letter should match the photograph uploaded in your online application.
- Your appearance during registration should match the name/details on your photo ID.
- Your signature should tally with the signature uploaded in the application.
- Mismatch can result in not being allowed to appear for the examination.
🖐️ Biometric & Photograph Verification
- Biometric data (thumb impression) and photograph will be captured at the examination venue before the exam.
- Keep fingers clean and dry for biometric capture.
- If you have mehndi/ink/colour coating on your fingers, wash it off thoroughly before exam day.
- If fingers are dusty, wash and dry them before biometric capture.
- If your thumb is injured or damaged, inform the concerned authority at the test centre immediately.
👕 Dress Code — Avoid Problems at Frisking

💻 Online Exam Login
- The examination will be conducted online.
- You will need your User ID and Password to enter the online examination site.
- Check that your name and other details appearing on screen are correct.
- Do not disclose your User ID or Password to any third party.
