Question 1

How are raw marks calculated for SSC Selection Post Phase XIV 2026?

Accepted Answer

The CBT pattern consists of 100 questions carrying 200 total marks across 4 sections (General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Language). Each correct answer awards +2 marks, while each incorrect answer deducts 0.50 marks (negative marking). Unattempted questions carry zero penalty.

Question 2

Why is the rank an estimate and how does shift normalization work?

Accepted Answer

Because SSC conducts Selection Post CBT across multiple dates and shifts, raw scores can vary in difficulty between shifts. Official merit lists use normalized marks formulated by SSC. This calculator gives an estimate based on candidate-submitted data to help understand comparative standing.

Question 3

Are candidates from Matriculation, Higher Secondary, and Graduate levels ranked together?

Accepted Answer

No. The Staff Selection Commission conducts separate CBT exams with distinct difficulty standards for each educational qualification level: Matriculation (10th), Higher Secondary (12th), and Graduate and above. Our calculator maintains a segregated rank pool for each level.

Question 4

Can I use this calculator for other SSC exams or custom marking schemes?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can click 'Edit marking scheme / Add custom exam' to modify sections, questions, and negative penalty rules, or save a custom exam scheme for immediate score evaluation.
