Railway Station Master Exam Guidelines 2026 Notice PDF

The Railway Board has issued guidelines on its official website, rrb.indianrailways.gov.in, for the recruitment of Station Masters from the 2026 cycle onwards. As per the notice, the post will be notified separately through a Centralised Employment Notification (CEN). The recruitment will have a single stage CBT followed by CBAT, Document Verification and Medical Examination. Changes in Railway Station Master Recruitment 2026?

Earlier, the Station Master post was recruited through the Railway NTPC recruitment process. This system was followed up to the 2025 recruitment cycle. However, the Railway Board has now changed the recruitment arrangement from 2026 onwards. As per the new guidelines, Station Master recruitment will be notified separately. Therefore, candidates should look for a separate Station Master recruitment notification instead of waiting for it under the regular NTPC recruitment.

Railway Station Master Application Form 2026

The Station Master application form will be released after the Railway Recruitment Boards issue the separate CEN for Station Master recruitment. Candidates will be required to submit their applications online through the RRB application portal. Railway Station Master Recruitment 2026: Old vs New Selection Process

The Railway has changed the recruitment method for Station Master from 2026 onwards. Earlier, the post was included in NTPC recruitment. The new process will have a separate CEN and a single-stage CBT.

Railway Station Master Exam Pattern 2026

The RRB Station Master CBT will have 100 marks and duration of 120 minutes.The 60-mark section will cover basic science, mathematics, data analysis and data interpretation. Railway Station Master CBAT 2026

Candidates will be shortlisted for the Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) based on their CBT performance. The shortlisting will be done at 1:8, meaning up to eight candidates can be shortlisted for each vacancy. The Railway Station Master CBAT is an important stage because candidates need to qualify in it to be considered for the final merit list.

Railway Station Master Final Merit 2026

Only candidates who qualify the CBAT will be considered for final merit of RRB Station Master 2026. Candidates shortlisted for Document Verification will also have to clear the required medical examination. The final merit list will be prepared by giving weightage to both the CBT and CBAT scores.
